Lollys and Cooks has everything you could possibly want from a restaurant: mouth-watering meals; irresistible sweet treats; perfectly brewed coffee – and a cosy cafe to enjoy it all in.
There’s plenty of lunch time options to satisfy any palette, ranging from hot pots to salads – all served up in fantastic portion sizes and available at fair, affordable prices.
The Grand Canal Dock spot, nestled in beside the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, has stunning views from the second floor and plenty of open-plan seating for the bustling crowds making their way through the cafe.
To start off the meal, I ordered the fusilli with cheese sauce, chicken and scallops.
The generous serving of pasta was topped with a rich, creamy three cheese sauce that accented the flavour combination of the tender chicken and scallops perfectly.
The menu contains a number of fan-favourites as well, including the notoriously tasty Savage Roll – a variation on the sausage roll, one of the treats the cafe is well-known for.
And for anyone with a sweettooth, Lollys and Cooks is a dream come true.
The shop has an array of tasty cupcakes, cookies and cakes to try – including the decadent chocolate salted peanut crunch cake; the chocolatey Mississippi mud pie cupcake and mouth-watering caramel brownie with white chocolate and caramel.
The staff behind the cosy cafe are warm and welcoming, making sure that everyone who sets foot through the door feels relaxed and right at home.
All in all, whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a brilliant place to catch up with friends for a sweet treat, Lollys and Cooks is the way to go.
